Bullet Points from Front and Center!

  •  Paulson and Geithner are from the same school of economics, the only differences are appearances and one of them pays their taxes.

  • Cut out all the Pork then maybe you can call it a stimulus bill. I'm all for it but there is too much special interest spending which is sadly typical of our government now these days even with Democrats in control.

  • The bailout is passed and we will all have to accept that. I for one think it was totally wrong. But I also admit I do not have a good way to get us out of this mess. One thing that history has shown many times before. Spending money to revive an economy in a depressed state does not work. I do so hope the current plan can prove me wrong and rewrite history. Only time will tell.

  • A liberal reader sent me an e-mail stating: “Every bumper sticker in America should read "Lost your job, thank a Republican"

Only a liberal would mandate bumper stickers.

  • I want to bid on the job for resodding the monument lawn! Oh it already has been awarded? Hmmmmm....... how can you set a cost without a bid?

  • The Fierce Urgency of Pork. "A failure to act, and act now, will turn crisis into a catastrophe."-- President Obama, Feb. 4.

Catastrophe, mind you. So much for the president who in his inaugural address two weeks earlier declared "we have chosen hope over fear." Until, that is, you need fear to pass a bill.
